100 Word Statement

"In this course, I have been able to expand my knowledge and understanding of communicating certain aspects within the built environment. Through learning various skills in Fusion 360, I was able to design models that reflected my perspective. In the design of the 3D initials model, I created a unique object with various curving edges and textures that indicate aspects of my life. The physical appearance of the model (made using my initials H.K.L) as well as the contrasting textures such as Jade and black/gold Titanium Nitride, were used to represent my Australian/Chinese upbringing. Therefore, through learning these new skills I am able to translate my human experiences into my creations."

Total: 113 words

At first I talked about the skills I learned from the course as a whole, but upon further review and feedback, I focused more on a specific aspect which in this case was creating the initials model that was to be 3D printed.

Space Between Box in paper

Using the box I designed in Fusion 360 in 2.5d, I recreated it in 1:1 scale using paper.
An opening at the base of the model in order to glue all the edges together.

Fusion 360 Initials Design + Render

Created using my initials H.K.L

Render
As an Australian born Chinese, I tried to reflect on my Chinese background by using Jade as the exterior material and my Australian upbringing through the black/gold Titanium Nitride for the interior. Through the pictures added below, you can determine the model (me) to be completely Chinese or Australian or a mix of both.
